The second race of MotoSurf WorldCup 2017 took the best JetSurfers from all over the world to beautiful historic city St. Petersburgh.
Duble surprise in men’s qualification
After his great ride, Young rookie, Jan Drkos was in the lead. His very fast time haven’t been beaten even by big names like Lukas Zahorsky or Sebastian Kubinec. Until Petr Vencovsky got on the track. He was the very last rider in qualification who had the chance to beat the best time. Even though the conditions on the river Neva was more than tough and many passing boats were creating big waves, Petr was riding his JetSurf like on a calm water and without any mistakes and manage to win the whole qualification for the very first time in his JetSurf’s carrier.
Bad luck of Martina Bravencova
The winner of the last qualification in France Martina Bravencova had bad luck. She missed buye in both of her qualification laps and had to take the worst place on the start of first two heats. Martina made it easier for other strong riders such as Aneta Sacherova who won the qualification in front of Alita Rivas and Martina Lukscheider.
Final without Jakub Kornfeil
The biggest favorite and leader of MotoSurf WorldCup 2017 couldn’t have made his trip to St. Petersburgh so we have had many riders with a very good chance to win and take his place in overall standings. After amazing fights on the racing track mainly between Lukas Zahorsky and Sebastian Kubinec, the podium looked like this: 1. Lukas Zahorsky, 2. Sebastian Kubinec, 3. Petr Vencovsky. A big congratulation to all of them and even bigger congratulation to Petr Vencovsky who manage to get on the podium for very first time.
From zero to hero
The true hero of St. Petersburgh race was Martina Bravencova. Despite starting last due to qualifying she managed to win both her heats and so the finals. Overall victory went to their hands and she won her very first race in MotoSurf WorldCup. Second place took Aneta Sacherova and third Alita Rivas. Alita was very happy to be back on the podium. It was almost a year she could have taste this feeling.
Amazing race on amazing spot
It was a well organized amazing race in the beautiful city. The weather forecast didn’t look good before the racing weekend but paddock was well equipped and riders had everything they needed to stay warm. They even had a hospitality room where riders could have a little snack or drink.
The weekend was finished with a style. All riders were invited on good bye party with drinks, music, good mood and at the end even with fireworks.
